NAMs Live Talk Series

Launched in 2025, the NAMs Live Talks is a series of online discussions organised by the Pro Anima Scientific Committee to highlight scientific, technological and regulatory advances in the field of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs). Each session focuses on a specific theme, relating to the most pressing scientific and societal issues of the day.

These regular meetings bring together international experts from academia, industry, regulatory bodies and scientific organisations. At these meetings, they share their perspectives, underpinned by their research and experience, present the latest innovations, discuss the challenges involved in implementing them, and foster dialogue between the various stakeholders in the NAM ecosystem.

Open to a wide community of researchers, students, professionals and decision-makers, the NAMs Live Talks aim to disseminate knowledge, explore key themes in greater depth, foster collective reflection and identify avenues for action. They also encourage interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration in order to accelerate the adoption of methods that are more predictive, more relevant to human biology and more ethical in biomedical research and safety assessment.

Discussion panels : Science & Dialogue

In order to promote a better understanding and wider acceptance of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), particularly with regard to their reliability, robustness and validation, the Pro Anima Scientific Committee, with the support of PARC and the FC3R, organised and hosted a series of round-table discussions in 2024, bringing together key stakeholders in the field from the worlds of research, industry and regulatory authorities.

In response to the challenges identified by PARC in its roadmap for Next Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA), these discussions focused on the interactions between toxicology, NAMs and regulation, with a view to identifying the obstacles, drivers and prospects for accelerating the integration of innovative approaches into risk assessment.
