This week Pro Anima is launching a national campaign to protest the expansion of the SILABE (Simian Laboratory Europe) breeding centre for 1,600 primates destined for animal expérimentation. This centre is located at Fort Foch in Niederhausbergen near Strasbourg.
We demand the closure of the existing primate centre.
Our one page statement will be made public in the 29th of april issue of the well known french magazine Télérama (600 000 issues sold for an estimated 2 millions readers)
This campaign is supported and funded by the LSCV (Ligue Suisse Contre la Vivisection) and SNDA (Société Nationale de Défenses des animaux).
We will also distribute thousands of leaflets at the open day of the European Parliament which will be held next Saturday, 2nd of may at Strasbourg. (more details here )
